Meet Ori ~ Our new kitten

The saddest moment of my life was when my best friend died, with me unable to save him. He was a white cat named Link and he was glorious, so beautiful, gentle and graceful. And also remarkably human in his behaviours, a truly rare cat, like an old and wise soul, it still breaks my heart to know that he is gone.

Quite a while after he died, we let Link’s sister Zelda have kittens, it was our first time having our house filled with kittens and it was both funny, amazing and chaotic.

Zelda is also such a wonderful and purrfect cat by the way. She started birthing her kittens while laying between us in bed in the middle of the night. We quickly found them a box to lay in. As the days passed by I fell in love with them, to the point when I just wanted to keep them all. But in the end we decided for the white one which we named Ori, he totally found his way into our hearts, and he was a boy, which was what we wanted, and we have had white cats for 10 years.

Luckily two of the other kittens got adopted by our friend Nolemire, and I’m sure they could not have gotten a better home! The last one went to live with another family as well. I miss them all, but having two cats is perfect I think.

He keeps growing bigger. Now he is far larger than his mother and every other cat we ever had. I’m sure he will show up in future posts as well, then you will se how much he has grown.

So blessed with yet again having two white, cuddly and lovely cats living with us!

Life with cats is amazing, or what do you think?

  1. They are beautiful.
I’m so sorry about Link. We rescued two cats, Ava (black, fluffy, and true mummys girl.) And Autumn, a little tortie (who we nicknamed bear cat because she strolls around like a bear) I love having two cats, lots of cuddles and mayhem.
